How much does a session cost?
Tutors on ALT set their own rates above the platform minimum of ₱500/hr. Browse individual tutor profiles to see exact pricing. Session packages start at ₱3,000 for 6 hours at the minimum rate.
When does my payment get charged and where does it go?
Payment is collected when you confirm the booking. Your money goes to ALT — not to the tutor — and is held until your session is confirmed complete. If your tutor does not confirm within 24 hours, your money is returned automatically.
What grade levels do you cover?
ALT covers Kindergarten through college in the Philippines. All K-12 grades, college years, and board exam levels are searchable by grade filter.
Is ALT available outside Metro Manila?
Yes. Online sessions work from any location in the Philippines with a stable internet connection. Face-to-face sessions are available in cities where tutors are located.
Online or face-to-face — how does each work?
Online sessions are conducted via Zoom. Your tutor sends the session link after booking is confirmed — it works on any phone or computer. Face-to-face sessions are arranged at a location agreed between you and the tutor.
What if the tutor is not a good fit?
ALT offers a free rebooking. If the first session does not work out — wrong style, wrong fit — we connect you with a different tutor at no extra cost. Package hours carry over in full.
Can I cancel a session?
Cancel at least 24 hours before the session for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before are non-refundable. Full automatic refund if the tutor cancels or does not show.
What do I need to get started?
Create a free ALT account. For online sessions: download the free Zoom app. For face-to-face: no app needed. Payment accepted via GCash and credit card.
Refer a friend. Earn session credits.
Students earn 1 free session credit when a friend books their first session. Tutors earn ₱500 when a referred tutor completes 5 sessions.
